Overview

Eagle allows you to batch rename files while keeping the original files intact. This article explains how to create copies of your files before applying batch rename operations.

Step-by-Step Process

1. Copy the Files

In the file list, select multiple files you want to rename
Right-click and choose "Copy Files" or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C

2. Paste the Files

Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V to paste the files
If Eagle displays a duplicate import notification, select "Keep Both" and "Apply to All", then click "Import Files"

Note: This operation will use additional disk space, so please consider this when creating multiple copies.

3. Rename the Copies

Select all the copied files you want to rename
Right-click and select "Batch Rename" to perform the renaming operation

Important Notes

This method creates file duplicates, which will occupy additional disk space. Please evaluate usage based on your actual needs.
After renaming, both the original files and their copies will exist in your library.
The batch rename feature helps you quickly standardize file naming formats, improving resource management efficiency.
