Eagle provides multiple ways to help you quickly categorize files into recently used or other folders, improving organization efficiency. This article introduces three commonly used quick categorization methods.

Using the "Add to Folders" Feature

Select the files you want to categorize in the file list
Right-click to open the menu and select the "Add to Folders" option, or directly use the shortcut key ⌘ + Shift + J
In the pop-up window, the folders with clock icons at the top represent "recently used" folders - click to quickly add files

Using the Folder Categorization Menu

Select the files that need to be categorized
Press the shortcut key F to open the folder categorization window
On the right side of the search bar, you can choose the type of folders to display: All, Recently Used, Selected
Use the Enter key to confirm and add files to the selected folder

Batch Adding to the Same Folder

For multiple files that need to be categorized into the same folder:

After categorizing the first batch of files
Select other files that need to be categorized
Use the shortcut key Shift + D to quickly perform the same categorization operation, adding these files to the same folder that was just used

Important Notes

Adding files to folders creates reference relationships - one file can exist in multiple folders simultaneously
