Eagle is a local asset management application where all asset content is stored in libraries on your local hard drive. Please note that Eagle does not have cloud sync functionality, and the product serial number is only used for software activation, not for synchronization.

Library Migration Steps

To use previously collected assets on a new computer, you need to first back up the library from your old computer:

Complete library backup: Back up the library as a zip format compressed file
Use copy-paste method for transfer: Ensure all files and folder structures are transferred completely
Verify data integrity: After migration is complete, first verify that all content is correct on the new computer before considering deleting the library from the old device

Tips for Optimizing Migration Speed

For large libraries, you can speed up migration through the following methods:

Use faster hardware: Replacing HDD with SSD can significantly improve transfer speed
Adjust compression settings: Selecting "Store" level (pack only without compression) when packaging can save considerable time

External Hard Drive Considerations

If using an external hard drive to store libraries, please note cross-system compatibility:

Setting up Eagle on a New Computer

Download and install Eagle on the new device
Activate the software using your serial number (serial numbers can be used on multiple devices)
Through the "Library" > "Open Other Library..." menu, select your migrated library folder
