MP4 files cannot be previewed or played, usually due to the following possible causes:

Eagle version is too old
Eagle 4.0 Build18 includes extensive video decoding optimizations and theoretically supports all types of video codecs. If you are using an older version, please update to this version or later first. After updating, most MP4 files can be previewed and played directly.
The application is not installed properly
Please try to download and reinstall Eagle's latest version.
Graphics card driver missing (Windows)
Try reinstalling or updating the driver of your graphics card, and test whether the issue is resolved.

macOS users please note: The new video player requires macOS 14.0 or later.

Still can't play after updating?

If a few MP4 files still cannot be played after updating to the latest version, you can use the "HandBrake" converter to convert the video to a compatible format.

Install HandBrake (freeware, supports macOS/Windows)
HandBrake is a tool that can convert videos from nearly any format to modern, widely supported codecs.
Open HandBrake
Drag and drop the video file into the application
Set output path and format (H.264 format is recommended)
Click "Start Encode" above to start converting
After the conversion is complete, re-import the video files into Eagle
